In Wien: wurde ich geboren und wurde zur Harfenistin ausgebildet. Mit 25 Jahren zog ich nach Deutschland. 

Zur Person: 1914 erschien mein erstes Buch. 1929 schrieb ich mein wohl bekanntestes Werk „Menschen im Hotel“. Die Verfilmung als „Grand Hotel“ mit Greta Garbo in Hollywood machte mich auch in den USA bekannt. 1932 zog ich nach Kalifornien. 

Wussten Sie: Ich veröffentliche 35 Bücher und davon wurden 17 verfilmt.

About me: In 1914 my first book was published. In 1929 I wrote my best-known novel "Grand Hotel", which was filmed with Greta Garbo in Hollywood, and made me known in the US. In 1932 I moved to California.

Fun Fact: I published 35 books, 17 of them were made into a film.
